Brief Description

“ News Feed ”, is a Perfex CRM module that integrates News feeds directly into the CRM.

News Feed module allows administrators to manage curated news feeds, browse articles, and display a live news widget on the Perfex dashboard — without leaving the CRM. A client-area news page is also available, giving logged-in (or optionally public) clients access to the latest news from the configured default feed. Designed exclusively for Perfex CRM, it integrates seamlessly with your existing setup — no complicated configuration required.

Key features of the module include:

• News Feed Reader: Browse paginated news articles from any configured feed. Articles display title, source tag, date, description snippet, and a direct external link.


• Saved Feeds Management: Add, edit, and delete custom RSS feeds. Each feed has a title, category, and optional RSS URL.


• Category-based Topic Feeds: If no RSS URL is provided, supported topic categories automatically generate a Google News topic feed URL. Supported categories: WORLD, NATION, BUSINESS, TECHNOLOGY, ENTERTAINMENT, SPORTS, SCIENCE, HEALTH.


• Custom RSS URL Feeds: Any valid RSS URL can be saved and used as a feed source.


• Category Filter: Filter saved feeds by category in the admin list.


• Dashboard Widget: Displays the latest N headlines on the Perfex dashboard, fetched from the default RSS URL.


• Client Area News Page: A dedicated page is set at client side for clients showing paginated news articles from the default feed.

Note:

This module is a third-party tool integrated into Perfex CRM. It fetches news directly from Google News RSS feeds. Whatever news is published on Google News RSS will be automatically fetched and shown inside the CRM. Accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of the news depend solely on Google News. You can set you own RSS URL (XML) also instead of Google News.
